Renovating an apartment in an old apartment building is always a challenge. Aged interiors not only bear the marks of years gone by, but also hide plenty of surprises that can effectively derail your plans. This apartment in Chorzów underwent a complete transformation thanks to SaniWell’s ReFIT service. The owners wanted to create a modern, functional space—here are the results of our work!
ReFIT: Step by Step Toward a New Apartment
The first step was to remove the old furniture, dismantle the kitchen and bathroom fixtures, and chip away the tiles and tear up the floors, which had completely lost their charm and functionality over the years. The old interior and exterior doors had to be replaced with modern equivalents to ensure better insulation and aesthetics. Each stage of the work was carefully planned to bring the vision of a modern interior to life.
Hidden problems often arise during the renovation of older apartments—outdated plumbing, worn-out floors, and damaged walls are the norm. This is where the ReFIT SaniWell team of experts steps in; they always begin with a thorough analysis of the property’s technical condition. Thanks to their meticulous approach, potential difficulties were detected in time, which helped minimize unpleasant surprises and additional costs.
After the demolition phase, it was time for the key renovation work. The SaniWell team proceeded to replace the electrical and plumbing systems, an essential step in creating a modern interior. The floors were leveled and prepared for the next stages, including the installation of new electrical wiring—which provided the apartment with proper lighting—and plumbing fixtures. The entire project was planned so that the new interior would be functional and meet contemporary standards.
We must not forget the finishing of the walls and ceilings, which took on a completely new look thanks to leveling and the application of a smooth finish. The materials used were of the highest quality, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and durability for many years to come. The installation of new doors—both interior and exterior—added elegance and a modern character to the interior, while also improving sound and thermal insulation.
